San Diego-based designer Keith Robinson has set up a new company known as Darius 2 Software. The first product to come from the new company is ‘D2’, a sequel to his previous game ‘Darius’, a critically acclaimed point and click adventure game set in an imaginary world where humans live in harmony with dinosaurs. The GameTap site has this to say about Darius 2:

The game is available DRM free. You simply have to register on the website and download the free “D2Free” installer. After you have installed the game, it is time to get the game’s manual. The manual is available as PDF file for download. The manual contains instructions on how to activate the game, what the game controls are, song samples and a special section about the use of voice in the game. The manual also contains an interesting entry about the music of the game. The entry is followed by a list of samples that can be used in the game’s menus and areas. The final item on the list tells about the artistes behind some ‘riff-raff’ music, which can be used during the game.
