I recently discovered how bad Conda's version of setuptools are at installing the environment for numpy. Unfortunately, nobody seems to be working on a solution to this issue as far as I can tell. I tested with:
People with disabilities who are unable to use DART's bus or rail services are eligible for ADA paratransit services. This program provides travel on a first-come, first-served basis and for free travel. The program is also free for the person providing the accommodation.
DART Paratransit Services provides curb-to-curb public transportation for people with disabilities who are unable to use DART's bus or rail services. Paratransit Services also offers free travel training, and a travel ambassador program, to ADA paratransit eligible individuals who have the ability to use bus or rail services.
For information regarding ADA laws and regulations, and to request a free copy of the ADA Standards for Accessible Design, contact the Texas Department of Transportation at 800/252-5157 (voice) or 800/258-1133 (TTY).
Even if you do a great job of security (which you obviously don't since you have just disclosed your application), you're still at risk of being cracked. It's just that your crackers have to know you did a great job of security, and if they don't, they're going to crack something else.
I'm not suggesting, either, that your app should be open source or free, but my personal opinion is that most open source apps are probably going to be more popular and used, thus creating more opportunities for those who want to crack them.
This could be checked every time the application is run, and you could add another pre-compiled check to see if the serial number is valid. As the serial number is checked every time, cracking this should be a piece of piss.
And of course, if you wanted to be really daring, you could also check if the serial is in some kind of hash, so the app could be cracked and a new serial could be used to protect the app without anyone ever knowing.
I'm not sure why I started on this tangent, I think I just really like the idea of using a database to store valid serial numbers, and using an external license server to check that serial numbers if they match the code which is sent to it. If anyone knows any good resources for using MySQL with PHP, I'd be interested in reading them (I know Zend Framework comes with a license checking class, I haven't used it). 827ec27edc
